About This PositionThis role involves full-cycle bookkeeping and providing valuable insights to our team.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, payroll, and financial statements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record keeping for management reporting and other analytical reports
  • Management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing
  • Assisting in client planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, month-end close processes, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, financial reporting, etc.
  • Acting as the firm's in-house expert on internal processes for designated clients, documenting learnings and assisting in control development and improvement.
  • Collaborating with clients to obtain documentation and information, ensuring timely delivery and tracking.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professional communication at all times with team members, clients, vendors, and third parties.
  • Completing administrative or ad-hoc work to support the firm or team members.
  • Solving problems as they arise and escalating when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Bookkeeping-related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with full-cycle bookkeeping.
  • Ability to adapt to new systems and software (QuickBooks Online, Receipt Bank, Yardi, etc.).
  • Knowledge of CRA requirements and filings (HST, WSIB, EHT).
  • Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping software (QBO, XERO) is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-player attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Independent worker with high attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter eager to take responsibility.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ability to meet commitments and set clear objectives.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working non-traditional hours required.
  • Laptop/desktop meeting minimum specs: processor Core i5 or higher, RAM 8GB or higher, internet speed at least 6 Mbps download and upload.
