Responsibilities:

  • Owning the development of large projects.

  • Writing specifications and understanding risks.
  • Reducing complexity.
  • Taking on technical lead responsibilities to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Following industry trends and new technologies.
  • Representing the team as a subject matter expert with cross-team credibility.
  • Mentoring and developing those around you in a structured and systematic manner.

Requirements:

  • Cultivating technical quality standards by designing the architectural approach to support business objectives.
  • Possessing soft skills and being passionate, enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated.
  • Holding an exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • Having an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path.
  • Exhibiting drive and a track record of going above and beyond expectations.
  • Showcasing well-organised, self-starting capabilities with the ability to deliver to schedule.
  • Demonstrating competency in researching new technology or approaches, and tastefully and sustainably integrating changes and more modern approaches to technical projects.
  • Providing comprehensive and insightful code review on items of any size within the project.
  • Displaying an eye for accessibility and performance.
  • Professionally written and spoken English.
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments.
