Workday HCM Product Expert

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Workday HCM product suite, particularly in U.S. benefits.

This role is responsible for providing strategic support to clients' Workday technology by delivering innovative ideas and effective solutions.

Key expectations include:

  • Providing expertise in Workday HCM product suite with deep knowledge in U.S. benefits
  • Leading deployment teams or coaching others to gather and document client business requirements, design and configure Workday solutions, demonstrate configurations through prototype systems, assist in testing Workday solutions, and complete knowledge transfer to clients
  • Working with confidential client/data conversion teams to convert legacy data into Workday
  • Assisting integration consulting teams in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions
  • Mentoring new consultants and serving as a professional role model while coaching others on product knowledge
  • Communicating clearly and concisely, collaborating effectively, and working synergistically with team-based projects
  • Facilitating clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices
  • Maintaining clients' ongoing satisfaction and ensuring referenceability once in production
  • Providing regular status reports to project managers keeping them apprised of overall project status
  • Innovating and suggesting new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively
  • Maintaining Workday certifications and qualifications
  • Ensuring functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation
  • Demonstrating computational thinking and identifying problem components, analyzing patterns, removing inefficient configurations or processes, and constructing algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing client needs

Desired skills and experience include:

  • Current Workday Benefits Certification
  • 4+ years configuring and implementing a combination of HCM/Benefits Solutions
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company
  • Previous experience deploying Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar applications
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Functional experience in one or more of the following areas: HCM/Benefits
  • Ability to manage against timelines and goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Experience deploying multiple HCM/Benefits projects simultaneously a plus
