IRS/EIN Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IRS/EIN Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless interactions with the IRS on behalf of our clients.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain daily communication with the IRS to obtain EINs for our clients in a timely manner.
  • Represent clients professionally and ensure compliance with all relevant IRS regulations.
  • Manage and track EIN applications, maintaining accurate records of all interactions and documentation.
  • Address any issues or follow-ups related to EIN acquisition efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client needs are met promptly.
  • Oversee the process of submitting ITIN applications to a third-party vendor.
  • Provide regular performance reports, including metrics on ITIN submissions, EIN extractions, cases in progress, and average extraction times.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IRS procedures and compliance requirements, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to represent clients professionally.

This role requires the ability to work effectively within the US time zone and manage daily IRS interactions.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience working with the IRS on various cases, particularly involving EIN acquisition.
  • An active PTIN number, SSN number, or certification as a CAA (Certified Acceptance Agent) or EA (Enrolled Agent).
  • A strong understanding of IRS procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to represent clients professionally.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
