Accounting Manager Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, analyzing general ledger accounts, and preparing internal financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Month-End Close Process: Create all journal entries, accruals, and adjustments while ensuring timely and accurate posting.
  • Analyze General Ledger Accounts: Provide insights on significant variances and ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare Internal Financial Reports: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and support management with variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results.
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of cash, AR, AP, fixed assets, prepaids, and accrued expenses in FloQast.
  • Ensure Compliance: Prepare and file required tax forms, including sales and use tax, business licenses, and annual reports.
  • Support Audits: Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: In Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is a plus.
  • Experience: 4+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls, experience in both public accounting and corporate accounting environments, proficiency in ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
