Model Risk Analyst

Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Model Risk Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Model Risk Officer in enhancing the Bank's model risk policy, conducting regular reviews of all Bank models, and participating in developing models for the Risk Management team.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Bank's model inventory, ensuring that all models meet the required standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Model Risk Officer to identify and assess potential model risks, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize these risks.
  • Conduct independent model validation to ensure that models are functioning as intended and meeting the required performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Bank's model risk framework, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to model owners and developers on model risk management, and support the implementation of effective challenge and research-backed solutions to optimize model performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of relevant reports regarding the Bank's model risk exposure and models' compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4-Year Course Graduate in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related discipline.
  • Proficient in data analytics and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge in quantitative analysis and machine learning techniques is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.
