About the Role

This role is a pivotal part of strengthening operational reliability across our Service Delivery Lines. By designing fit-for-purpose Positive Assurance test plans and executing high-quality control validations, you'll help ensure that our processes are not only compliant -- but consistently excellent.

As a Specialist in this area, you will play a key role in driving standardisation, uncovering opportunities for automation, and delivering assurance that empowers teams to perform at their best.

You will report to the Manager, Governance & Stewardship, and be a key contributor to our mission of embedding quality, consistency, and confidence in how we operate.

The day-to-day activities of this role include:

  • Leading the delivery of robust and insightful Positive Assurance Testing aligned with our Framework.
  • Conducting process walkthroughs to understand control activities and assess alignment with design standards.
  • Developing smart, targeted test plans that reflect control objectives and key attributes.
  • Executing control validations to assess design adequacy and operating effectiveness.
  • Partnering with the Principal Control Governance and Service Delivery teams to calibrate findings and drive meaningful conversations.
  • Monitoring remediation plans and supporting teams in implementing sustainable improvements.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance control execution and embed continuous improvement.
  • Drafting and delivering impactful Controls Reports that tell the story behind the data.
  • Reviewing and refining test plans to unlock automation and boost efficiency.
  • Supporting problem-solving routines for areas with low pass rates.
  • Staying ahead of trends in assurance and controls testing -- bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Applying and improving the application of the Risk Management Framework and Positive Assurance Playbook.
  • Driving continuous improvement by analysing control environments, learning from past experiences, and identifying emerging risks.
About You

You're a curious, analytical, and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You bring a passion for controls, a sharp eye for detail, and a drive to make things better.

You'll bring:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Internal / External Audit, and risk and control governance.
  • Strong knowledge of control testing methodologies and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with our end-to-end processes (as applicable to the role).
  • Experience in data analytics, automation, and visualisation tools (e.g. SQL, PowerBI, etc).
