Reliable Data Platform Engineer

This is a pivotal role in our data platform team, focusing on ensuring high availability, performance, and cost optimization for platforms like Snowflake, Looker, Alteryx, Power BI, and more.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Administer applications, including installations, connectivity, configuration, upgrades, and patching across cloud and SaaS platforms.
  • Monitor platform health, track service-level agreements, and resolve issues collaboratively with senior team members.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and enhance "shift-left" operational models.
  • Develop knowledge base articles, document processes, and create self-service capabilities for internal users.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and governance teams to ensure compliance and reliability.

Necessary qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience, at least 2 years of relevant IT experience, familiarity with cloud technologies, basic scripting skills, hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, strong problem-solving skills, and adaptability.

Bonus qualifications include exposure to data/analytics platforms, awareness of monitoring tools, automation concepts, CI/CD practices, or DevOps workflows.
