Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Store Cashier.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work accurately with minimal supervision, and possess a strong ability to provide quality customer service.
  • This role involves performing basic math functions to collect payments and make change, operating registers, scanners, scales and credit card/debit card terminals, balancing cash drawers and generating reports for credit and debit sales.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  1. Collecting payments from customers and making change when necessary.
  2. Operating electronic payment systems, including credit and debit card machines, and ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate.
  3. Providing receipts to customers and handling exchanges and refunds in a quick and efficient manner.
  4. Maintaining accurate cash balances and reconciling any discrepancies.
  5. Ensuring the checkout area is clean and organized at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree (in Business course or any 4-year course).
  • Has sufficient background in cashiering, preferably with POS experience.
  • Has the ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and can work with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of 1 year/s experience in a similar industry.
  • Average communication and people skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Willing to work in various locations.
