Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger, and bank reconciliations across international entities.
  • Process invoices, manage payments, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Verify and process claims while ensuring policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate records and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Perform reconciliations and resolve variances.
  • Support value-added tax (VAT)/goods and services tax (GST), payroll, and corporate tax filings.
  • Track expenses and recommend cost-control improvements.
  • Identify automation opportunities and enhance workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Certified Public Accountant preferred).
  • 3+ years of accounting experience (AP, payroll, and financial reporting).
  • Experience with both Australian and US accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards & local accounting standards.
  • Experience with Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
  • Advanced Excel skills & exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
