Job Title: Financial Strategist

Role Overview:

We seek a seasoned Financial Strategist with expertise in financial planning and management, particularly in digital marketing and creative industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks Online records, adhering to accounting standards.
  3. Develop strategic financial plans to drive business growth and improve profitability.
  4. Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and expense tracking for the agency.
  5. Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for employees and contractors.
  6. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  7. Collaborate with leadership to provide actionable financial insights and recommendations.
  8. Ensure tax compliance, including sales tax, payroll, and corporate filings.
  9. Streamline financial processes and implement best practices for efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role in a digital marketing agency or related industry.
  • Strong proficiency in QBO—must be comfortable managing financials within the platform.
  • Payroll management experience, including processing payroll, tax compliance, and benefits administration.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, financial planning, and reporting principles.
  • Experience managing agency financials, project-based accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with high attention to detail.
  • CPA or relevant financial certifications are a plus.
