Strategic Board Operations Manager

As a Principal Secretariat Specialist at the Asian Development Bank, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and providing technical guidance in all aspects of Board operations. This includes planning the annual calendar for Board meetings, informal sessions, and other related meetings, as well as managing post-meeting requirements.
Your Responsibilities
• Assist the Secretary and Assistant Secretary in providing information to the Board of Directors, working closely with relevant departments and inter-departmental working groups.
• Oversee the full cycle of Board meetings, including planning, execution, and follow-up on action items.
• Collaborate with departments and offices to minimize year-end and quarter-end bunching of BOD activities.
• Provide advice on meeting procedures and oversee secretariat support, including preparing notices, agendas, minutes, and distributing documents.
• Manage the approval and release of Board decision notifications to relevant heads of departments and staff.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Master's degree in economics, business management, communications, or a related field. Alternatively, a university degree in a related field combined with additional relevant professional experience can be considered.
• At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with experience in corporate governance. International experience working in several countries is highly valued.
• Demonstrated client orientation and sensitivity to working in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• A high degree of integrity in handling confidential matters.
• Familiarity with operations, policies, and procedures of multilateral development banks and financial institutions.
• Experience dealing with senior staff, Management, Board members, and high-level government officials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
