Key Role: Financial Strategist

Job Description:

We seek an experienced Financial Strategist to lead our financial planning and operations. This is a pivotal role that will contribute significantly to the growth and success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies across all business units.
  • Lead quarterly planning and revenue target-setting for each channel and product line.
  • Drive scenario modeling and ROI assessments on new projects, channel launches, product experiments, or talent partnerships.
  • Partner closely with brand leaders to shape monetization, pricing, and profitability strategies.

Strategic Finance & Revenue Operations

  • Own company-wide P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and runway management across all business units.
  • Lead scenario modeling and ROI assessments on new projects, channel launches, product experiments, or talent partnerships.
  • Drive automation, eliminate repetitive tasks, and implement tools and workflows that reduce manual overhead for Finance and the wider team.

Business Opportunity Screening

  • Be the first filter for all new business and partnership proposals sent our way — bringing a critical lens to help leadership make the right call.
  • Run diligence, surface risks, and assess opportunity costs of new ideas vs. doubling down on what's already working.

Efficiency, Tooling & Systems

  • Build out our reporting infrastructure (dashboards, cash flow visibility, performance metrics) to give clear, real-time insights across the company.
  • Manage and develop the Finance Manager and Bookkeeper, ensuring high performance, clarity of roles, and growth.
Requirements:
  • Financial strategist with over 7 years of experience, ideally within startups, media, or consumer brands.
  • Skilled at financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk assessment, with the ability to translate spreadsheets into actionable strategy.
  • Works with speed and precision, balancing urgency in decision-making with accuracy in execution.
