We are seeking an accomplished OT platform engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for implementing and maintaining OpenShift clusters in on-prem production environments.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain secure, scalable OpenShift clusters in on-prem production environments
  • Design robust tunneling solutions for deployment instructions between network levels
  • Evaluate and establish air gap transfer strategies for code and artifacts
  • Develop and implement Humanitec with ArgoCD for GitOps-style deployments with appropriate on-prem networking constraints
  • Create accurate, high-fidelity staging environments in AWS that mirror on-prem production systems
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to design and implement defense-in-depth strategies
  • Establish rigorous change management processes for on-prem deployments
  • Design comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies aligned with Purdue Model level requirements
Requirements
  • Mandatory skills and experience:
  • Proven background in designing and implementing segmented network architectures
  • Experience with secure artifact management (e.g., JFrog Artifactory)
  • Familiarity with on-prem limitations, including disconnected, latency, and bandwidth constraints
  • Hands-on experience with manual deployment processes and change control
  • Understanding of vSphere and on-premises virtualization
  • Desirable skills and experience:
  • Understanding of the Purdue Model and ISA-95 standards
  • Experience working in mining or heavy industry operational environments
  • Experience with industrial control systems and SCADA environments
  • Familiarity with redundant system design for high availability
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus)
  • Experience with staging/production environment separation in OT
  • Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity frameworks (IEC 62443)
  • Knowledge of OT-specific security requirements and compliance standards
  • Container Platforms: OpenShift (On-prem) and EKS (AWS)
  • Infrastructure: On-premises VMware vSphere, Docker Swarm
  • Source Control: GitHub with secure synchronization
  • Monitoring: Industrial-grade observability tools
  • Security: Air gap solutions, secure tunneling, RBAC
