Kano Consultants provides consulting services to the electric power industry. We provide engineering assessments, design, construction/maintenance support, and data analytics for departments that include power generation, substation, transmission, and distribution.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power Platform Specialist to help us resolve issues and improve our internal business application. The app was developed using Power Apps, with Azure SQL as the backend and Power Automate for workflows.

This is a project-based, remote role aimed at fixing urgent automation problems, improving the app's functionality, optimizing performance, and advising on future enhancements.

Project Duration and Compensation:

Since this is a project-based opportunity, please include an estimated timeline for project completion in your proposal. Compensation will also be determined based on the proposed duration, scope of work, and experience level.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and fix existing issues in Power Automate Flows — specifically, resolving connection errors that prevent critical notifications from being sent. [Top priority]

  • Assist in transferring app ownership and resources from a former employee's account to a secure, shared environment.

  • Add new features and functionality to improve user experience based on team feedback.

  • Proactively recommend optimizations to the app, automations, and backend setup.

  • Ensure documentation of changes and configurations is completed for internal knowledge continuity.

  • Perform knowledge transfer to internal IT & Cybersecurity team

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate (Flows)

  • Solid understanding of Azure SQL databases and how they integrate with the Power Platform

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve connector/authentication issues

  • Experience in transferring ownership and restructuring Power Platform environments

  • Knowledge in best practices for app design, security, and lifecycle management

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup

  • Ability to suggest and implement user-centered design improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-400, etc.)

  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 environments and permissions

  • Familiarity with app lifecycle management (ALM) for Power Platform

  • Prior experience working on similar takeover/support projects
