Job Title: Communications Infrastructure Specialist

Our company is seeking an experienced Communications Infrastructure Specialist to join our team.

This role is crucial for integrating communications infrastructure with surveillance systems, such as radar and AIS. The specialist will assess, configure, and maintain local communications networks across sites, ensuring operational readiness and system reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications or electronics engineering and over 5 years of direct experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of Local Communication Networks (LCNs).

Familiarity with maritime and coastal surveillance communications infrastructure in various regions, including knowledge of existing systems, networks, and technologies used for vessel monitoring, radar, AIS, and related communication platforms is required.

The successful candidate will be able to provide technical support, conduct system diagnostics, and recommend solutions for optimizing communications infrastructure performance.

  • Assess, configure, and maintain local communications networks across sites
  • Integrate LCN components with surveillance systems, including radar, AIS, and COP platforms
  • Collaborate with ICT/OT, HF/VHF, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient communications
  • Contribute to the planning and recommendation of equipment procurement, installation, and long-term sustainment
  • Provide training and technical guidance to personnel on LCN operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
