About the Role

This senior accountant position is an excellent opportunity to join our client services team, focusing on compliance work for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain exceptional client care standards.
  • Regular meetings with UK offices.
Accounting Tasks
  • Prepare draft accounts for review from source documents, including incomplete records or computerized trial balances.
  • Manage larger Limited company accounts with relevant support.
  • Clear routine queries with clients.
  • Prepare tax computations based on draft accounts.
  • Finalize figures for managers and prepare paperwork for client approval.
  • Deal with ad hoc client queries.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT Returns using bridging software.
  • Provide general support to clients and directors.
  • Assist trainees with queries and development.
  • Awareness of time spent on jobs and achieving budgeted hours.
Required Competencies
  • Passion for using accounting skills to support clients.
Experience Required
  • Familiarity with FRS102.
  • Exposure to One Man Band companies and charities.
Software Proficiency
  • Proficient in IRIS, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, FYI Docs, and MyWorkPapers.
