Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. As a senior member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for leading onboarding and cleanup projects, mentoring junior colleagues, and owning standard operating procedure (SOP) upkeep.

Your key responsibilities will include reviewing the quality of junior colleagues' work, leading accounts payable and receivable processes, managing onboarding and cleanup workflows for new client accounts, maintaining and enhancing SOPs, and ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal standards.

You will also be responsible for training and coaching junior colleagues, serving as an escalation contact, and effectively managing multiple clients while meeting deadlines for month-end close.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our pod lead on onboarding plans and communicate proficiently via email and Slack using alias accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial cleanup
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence
  • Strong leadership capability and mentoring experience
  • Track record of creating or refining SOPs and efficient workflows
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills
