Accounting Professional

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
  • Perform job costing and track expenses by project.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and vendor payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements.
  • Prepare financial reports, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets.
  • Assist with estimating by reviewing plans, material take-offs, and subcontractor bids.
  • Support project managers with budget tracking and cost-to-complete analysis.
  • Manage payroll and ensure compliance with labor laws.

Requirements:

  • Bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction.
  • Knowledge of construction accounting and job costing is required.
  • Experience with estimating processes, bids, or take-offs is a strong plus.
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Buildertrend).
  • Strong Excel and data entry skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
