Job Title: Senior Estimating Professional

Skillfully analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimating software.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
  • Evaluate historical data and pricing trends to improve the accuracy of estimates.
  • Review bids from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing to inform estimating decisions.
  • Participate in bid reviews and risk analysis discussions to identify potential issues.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth project transitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (3+ years preferred) with expertise in residential, commercial, civil, and industrial construction.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Trello).
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permit processes.
  • LEED certification or knowledge of sustainable building practices is a plus.
