Job Title:

Senior Estimator - Electrical and Lighting Controls

About the Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately performing takeoffs and costing for projects involving electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and can efficiently translate drawings into precise estimates.

The role requires proficiency in Planswift or Bluebeam software, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel. You should have a strong background in architectural and electrical projects, specifically experience in electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans.

Key skills include strong attention to detail, effective communication, and collaboration with project teams. Prior costing/estimating experience is advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Perform takeoffs and cost estimates using Planswift or Bluebeam
  • Review and interpret architectural and electrical drawings, including reflected ceiling plans
  • Identify and quantify lighting fixtures and controls from project documents
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Collaborate with the project team to verify and refine estimates
Requirements
  • Proficiency with Planswift or Bluebeam (must-have)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Background in architectural and electrical projects
  • Experience in electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans
  • Knowledge of lighting fixtures and controls for takeoffs
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent spoken and written English
  • Prior costing/estimating experience is a plus
