Job Title: Freelance Interpreter

Job Description:

This is a remote interpretation position where you will facilitate communication between Tagalog and English speakers.

As an interpreter, you must be able to process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner.

A quiet and secure environment is essential for this role.

You will also require the use of note pads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries as useful tools.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • You must have fluency in both English and Tagalog.
  • At least 3 years of interpretation experience are preferred.
  • You should possess excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • You need to be able to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
  • In certain cases, you may be required to explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at the request of the client.
Technical Requirements:
  • You will need a computer or laptop.
  • The device must be running Windows 10 or higher.
  • A USB wired headset is required.
  • A steady wired internet connection is necessary.
Additional Information:
  • This is a remote position where you will work from your home office.
  • Ongoing training and competency opportunities will be provided.
  • You will receive monthly payments.
  • Your payment will be based on a per-minute rate.
  • Please note that based on your location, language testing, background check, and/or drug screen may be required.
