Property Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our clients' properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for our clients' properties.
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for.
  • Expense Management: Manage and review expenses related to property maintenance, repairs, and other costs.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to help our clients make informed business decisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all financial transactions and reports comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
