Electrical Project Specialist

The Electrical Takeoff Specialist will review construction drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and compile accurate material and labor estimates for electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Analysis
  • Review electrical plans, specifications, and addenda to understand project scope.
  • Takeoff Execution
  • Perform detailed electrical quantity takeoffs for devices, wiring, conduits, panels, switchgear, lighting, and other systems.
  • Material Quantification
  • Use digital takeoff tools to measure and quantify materials.
  • Data Compilation
  • Prepare organized takeoff sheets and data for the estimating team.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate with senior estimators to clarify scope and resolve drawing discrepancies.
  • Document Management
  • Track and maintain project takeoff files.
  • Estimate Updates
  • Update estimating workbooks with vendor quotes and revised quantities.
Qualifications
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer
  • Professional Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical estimating, takeoffs, or drafting.
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Soft Skills
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and one-line diagrams.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with digital takeoff software is preferred.
  • Language and Communication
  • Good English communication skills are required.
  • Personal Qualities
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently are necessary.
