Job Description

Jhpiego Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cancer Prevention Specialist to join our team in translating cervical cancer prevention materials from Tagalog to Cebuano.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and creative expertise in the translation of various information, education, and communication (IEC) materials, including comic pamphlets, flipcharts, tarpaulins, instruction charts, animation videos, and brochures.

About the Project

  • Jhpiego works with the Department of Health, local health officials, private sector, and civil society to advance country commitments to WHO's global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health burden by 2030.
  • The CLAMS project has screened 4,969 women using HPV DNA testing, built clinical capacities of 40 health providers, trained 247 community health educators, engaged civil society organizations across marginalized sectors, and introduced HPV DNA testing through self-collection and treatment of pre-cancer lesions using thermal ablation in 5 project sites.
  • The reproduction of CECAP print IEC materials is sought to support demand generation, sensitization activities, and delivery of CECAP information and education services at CLAMS Phase 2 Project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Translate cervical cancer prevention materials from Tagalog to Cebuano, including comic pamphlets, flipcharts, tarpaulins, instruction charts, animation videos, and brochures.
  2. Provide technical and creative expertise in the translation process to ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.
  3. Work closely with the project team to ensure that all translated materials meet the required standards and are delivered on time.
