Job Overview

The Head of Credit Operations is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of credit risk policies and procedures tailored to real estate transactions. This position requires a strong leader who can manage and mentor a team of credit analysts and underwriters, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Credit Risk Policy Development: Create and maintain credit risk policies and procedures that are tailored to real estate transactions.
  • Credit Evaluation & Approval: Lead the assessment of borrower creditworthiness, including individuals, developers, and institutional clients.
  • Portfolio Risk Management: Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio, identify emerging risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts and underwriters, fostering a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 8-10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in real estate or top financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics.
