Electrical Estimator Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role involves reviewing construction drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and compiling accurate material and labor estimates for electrical projects.


About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Electrical Engineers to leverage their expertise in estimating, takeoffs, and drafting. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing electrical plans, specifications, and addenda to understand project scope.
  • Performing detailed electrical quantity takeoffs for devices, wiring, conduits, panels, switchgear, lighting, and other systems.
  • Using digital takeoff tools to measure and quantify materials.
  • Preparing organized takeoff sheets and data for the estimating team.
  • Coordinating with senior estimators to clarify scope and resolve drawing discrepancies.
  • Tracking and maintaining project takeoff files.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Licensed Electrical Engineer degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical estimating, takeoffs, or drafting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
  • Experience with digital takeoff software preferred.
  • Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
