Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support within a 24x7 production environment, focusing on Ubuntu Linux servers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology and wants to make a real difference in their career.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Linux system administration, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work varied shift schedules including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. They will also be proficient in Bash scripting, GoLang, and Perl, and have experience managing Proxmox or similar Linux KVM hypervisors.

The role involves performing daily maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Linux systems and services, triaging and resolving issues, and escalating as necessary. The successful candidate will also investigate alerts, coordinate responses, document responses, and communicate effectively with team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Linux System Administration: At least 1 year of experience in production Linux system administration.
  • Troubleshooting and Communication Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Bash Scripting and GoLang/Perl: Proficient in Bash scripting and have experience with GoLang and Perl programming languages.
  • Proxmox Experience: Experience managing Proxmox or similar Linux KVM hypervisors.
  • Network Configuration and Debugging: Knowledge of network configuration and debugging.
