Communications Specialist

This role involves serving as the primary driver of communications services and delivering high-quality output.

Key responsibilities include creating strategic plans for campaigns, projects, and team programs; producing well-researched content for various platforms such as websites, surveys, email marketing, videos, and blogs; and developing copies for event marketing materials used by graphic designers/video editors.

The Communications Specialist will also be responsible for drafting internal communications in the form of memos, newsletters, and other formats; organizing writing schedules to meet deadlines; collaborating with team members to ensure timely delivery of materials; primarily developing and producing podcasts and virtual events; and overseeing content development for company websites.

Desired qualifications include two to five years of experience developing content, scripts, and copies for various programs and platforms; a proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio; impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions; ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision; strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management; and proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs, Canva, Photo/Video Editing Apps, and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Additional requirements include familiarity with each client's requirements and the company's brand image, products, and services; good health and availability to work in different shifts depending on the schedule of events and activities; willingness to work long hours and onsite (office) or offsite (event venues) as required by the business; and flexibility in working arrangements.
