Job Opportunity:

The Software Release Engineer will be part of a release management team, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of software releases in Europe.

You will be accountable for a defined set of customers and support them during various phases of the SDLC.

  • Planning and execution of software releases in controlled environments
  • Validation of release scope with project managers and delivery managers
  • Technical validation of all releases completed and reported
  • Creation and management of implementation plans and production cutover
  • Software packaging, code merge, and log analysis
  • Cross-domain activities implementation with specialists
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Documentation and education on release, configuration, DevOps, and deployment best practices

Please note that you will work with clients based in Europe, requiring mid-shift schedules and on-call availability on weekends during release and Go Live.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 3-5 years experience in Release Management and/or Configuration Management
  • Experience with Unix, Oracle, SQL, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, Gerrit, Bitbucket or other source code management tools
  • Analyzing technical problems and automating administrative tasks
  • Conflict resolution, stakeholder management, matrix teams
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Open to weekend/shift work and extended support
