Technical Leadership Position

The successful candidate will assume a leadership role, overseeing technical aspects of development and execution stages. This position demands expertise in ensuring technical excellence, process integrity, and alignment with commercial objectives. The ideal candidate will pioneer new technology integration and establish technical standards for future projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Oversight Across Project Lifecycle
  • Provide technical direction from early-stage development through to execution.
  • Drive optimal technical solutions that are commercially viable and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure seamless technical handovers between project phases.
OE/Consultant Engagement & Oversight
  • Lead the technical aspects of Owner's Engineer (OE) and consultant engagements.
  • Review and approve all technical work products delivered by consultants.
  • Ensure quality, completeness, and contractual compliance of external technical deliverables.
Process & Standards Development
  • Develop and refine engineering processes and procedures for consistency and efficiency.
  • Establish frameworks for best-practice project technical governance.
  • Research, assess, and integrate emerging technologies into project portfolios.
Employer's Requirements Development
  • Design and maintain a Employer's Requirements template adaptable to various project types and contracting structures.
Discipline Engineering Oversight
  • Coordinate across disciplines to achieve cohesive technical solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical).
  • 10-20 years of technical and project experience in the power generation or related heavy infrastructure sector.
  • Experience spanning both development and execution phases.
  • Proven track record in managing and reviewing OE/consultant deliverables.
  • Strong background in process improvement and procedural development.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their application in the energy sector.
