Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive systems training plan for our customs department. This includes enhancing the skills and knowledge of employees on both Cargowise and JSM/JIRA.

The successful candidate will be integral to the onboarding process for new employees, as well as overseeing continuous training and people development within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design engaging training materials that cater to various learning styles and needs
  • Conduct trainings for new hires and provide ongoing support to ensure seamless integration
  • Collaborate with team leaders and stakeholders to identify effective training methods and techniques
  • Maintain accurate records and track progress using a training matrix
  • Evaluate strengths and weaknesses within each team to identify areas for improvement
  • Observe and assess the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for adjustments
  • Provide expert guidance and support to train-the-trainer sessions for selected individuals
  • Manage the implementation of new processes or major changes to existing processes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably with operational knowledge of airfreight, sea freight, or road freight
  • Expert knowledge of Cargowise and JSM/JIRA
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English (verbal and written)
