The role of a Compliance Specialist is to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met in order to maintain the integrity and reputation of an organization. This involves ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

">Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and secure with the relevant authorities the necessary permits, licenses, and certifications required for the operation of solar projects.

  • Assist in securing the Certificate of Compliance (COC) for each project needed to commence operations.

A key aspect of this role is to facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, including internal teams, external agencies, and clients. This involves maintaining accurate records, updating documentation, and providing regular progress updates.

">Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or any 4-year related course.

  • At least 3 years of experience in utility operations, preferably in Solar Project operation, registration, and compliance.

  • At least one (1) year of experience in Solar PV project management and compliance.

  • Knowledge in Customer Choice Programs in the Retail Electricity Market.

  • Knowledge in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
