
Strategic Growth Specialist

As a business development professional, you will represent the company in sales efforts, promoting its services to registered investment advisors. Your goal is to obtain new clients or grow existing revenue in your territory.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with sales management to develop and execute territory sales plans, increasing sales and retention of assets to achieve goals.
- Represent the company and its products knowledgeably to advisors, enabling them to identify benefits relative to competitors.
- Develop new revenue opportunities and capitalize on referrals to increase sales in your territory.
- Contact RIA firms and their advisors to provide additional information, obtain feedback, and use needs-based selling techniques.
- Ensure excellent customer service for RIA firms and their advisors, meeting expectations and managing interactions.
- Create and maintain critical contact relationships with firms involved in distribution for referrals or institutional clients.
- Monitor and complete daily/weekly/quarterly sales goals and activity reports to ensure accuracy and inform sales management.
- Manage discretionary expenses and travel within budget.
- Meet agreed-upon sales activity goals.
- Attend ongoing training to maintain current knowledge of markets and industry developments.
- Maintain and update the contact database, including prospect information and activity in sales automation tools.
- Excellent knowledge of financial services offerings and company policies and procedures.
- Ability to interact with high-level decision-makers professionally and engage them in discussions.
- Leadership skills to create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, efficiency, and maximum utilization of staff skills.
- Strong sales skills required: negotiation, persuasion, up-selling, closing, follow-up, relationship building, and networking.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Obtain industry certification.
- Hold a Series 65 license.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a field-based territory sales position selling financial services to Registered Investment Advisors.
- Minimum 2 years of experience building and maintaining a customer account base.
