Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

This role plays a vital part in driving our business forward by providing timely, accurate financial analysis that informs decision-making. You will be responsible for building and improving budgeting, reporting, and analytical processes.

We are looking for an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is comfortable with changing priorities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and updating divisional and corporate budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts.
  • Creating regular and ad-hoc reports, analysis, and recommendations for finance, accounting, and management.
  • Supporting the finance team's modeling and analysis of products, acquisitions, and financings.
  • Collaborating with our data team to integrate operational and financial data, improve forecasting accuracy, risk-adjusted project ROI, and unit economics.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial reporting, with business analysis experience considered an asset.
  • Experience with financial statement production and/or analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounting data hierarchies and structure.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to understand financial implications of key decisions.
  • Strong communication skills in written, spoken, and visualization mediums.
  • Experience working with technical teams.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
