Data Scientist Job

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst/Scientist to support our efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in statistical analysis, complex data mining, and artificial intelligence, with the ability to extract value from large datasets.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate complex concepts, and experience with emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, statistical modeling, and analytics.

  • Apply expert knowledge in statistical analysis, complex data mining, and artificial intelligence to make value out of data.
  • Provide consulting relating to the data mining and analysis of data from a range of sources.
  • Design and implement data-driven solutions, with specific focus on advanced analytical methods, data models, and visualizations.
  • Develop quantitative simulations and models to provide descriptive and predictive analytics solution recommendations.
  • Identify trends and problems through complex big data analysis.

Requirements:

  1. Six (6) years of relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research or other closely related quantitative or mathematical discipline.
  2. At least three (3) years of direct experience in machine learning.
  3. Advanced Degree (Masters or PhD) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research or other closely related quantitative or mathematical discipline.
  4. Demonstrates knowledge of data mining methods, databases, data visualization and machine learning.
  5. Ability to communicate analysis techniques, concepts and products.
  6. Ability to develop data-driven solutions, data models, and visualizations.

Desired Experience and Skills:

  1. Familiarity with distributed database technologies.
  2. Familiarity with PySpark and Python programming languages.
  3. Comfortable developing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data.
  4. Experience with anomaly detection, clustering, and time-series forecasting techniques.
  5. Experience implementing NLP concepts including text preprocessing, TF-IDF, named entity recognition, and language models.
