Freight Risk Expert

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Risk Expert to join our globally distributed remote team.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for risk evaluation and business partnership. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing credit limits for existing customers, analyzing payment behavior and financial data, and collaborating with internal teams to review and respond to business credit requests in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Credit Limit Reviews: Review and assess credit limits for existing customers on a recurring basis to ensure alignment with risk policies
  • Payment Behavior Analysis: Analyze payment behavior, financial data, and credit risk exposure to inform credit decisions
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to review and respond to business credit requests in a timely manner
  • Risk Assessments: Recommend adjustments to credit terms based on risk assessments and business needs
  • Trade and Bank Reference Checks: Conduct trade and bank reference checks for customer accounts to validate creditworthiness
  • Credit Documentation: Document credit reviews and decisions clearly and consistently to maintain transparency and accountability
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and risk management principles
  • Excellent analytical and financial assessment skills to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Experience in reviewing credit limits and payment history to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with bank and trade reference analysis to evaluate creditworthiness
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Excel and Google Workspace to analyze data and create reports
