Remote Medical Documentation Specialist

Magic is seeking a detail-oriented professional to work from home as a remote medical documentation specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical scribing, virtual assistance, or healthcare documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Real-time Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation: accurately document patient encounters directly into the EHR during or immediately after visits.
  • Clinical correspondence & records: prepare and edit patient notes, visit summaries, progress reports, and letters to referring physicians.
  • Billing & insurance support: assist with documentation needed for medical necessity, insurance authorization, and claims support.
  • Data quality, timeliness & compliance: perform accuracy checks for patient identifiers, visit details, and plan of care before submission.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a medical scribe, medical virtual assistant, or healthcare documentation specialist.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of basic medical terminology.
  • Proficiency with EHR documentation and Microsoft Office.
