Job Description">

As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing 2nd line support and maintaining 3rd party applications with 24/5.5 coverage.

This role sits within the External Application Support team, where you will work closely with the business and 3rd party providers to ensure the highest possible service level is maintained across Front Office trading applications, Middle Office, Back Office and Settlement platforms.

You will be proactive in managing business critical systems, identifying issues and potential problem areas, and interacting with various internal IT support functions to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Incident Management: Actively identify incidents and manage the incident resolution process, providing service recovery while managing client communications and their expectations.
  • Compliance and Risk: Ensure compliance with departmental policies, including change management, IT security standards, release management, and incident management.
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA): Work with all parties to provide services to agreed SLAs.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Work through disaster recovery planning and testing.

Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring documentation is written for all systems / processes and kept up to date, and working closely with the business to provide input on technology strategy.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of Electronic Trading Systems, Middle office applications, and back office/settlement systems.
    • Database interrogation and manipulation skills.
    • Understanding of the Trade Life Cycle (STP).
    • Risk knowledge/P&L experience.
    • Microsoft Applications (Windows Server/Client) knowledge.
    • UNIX/LINUX knowledge.
    • FIX Protocol understanding.
