
Policy Coordinator

The organizational policy professional is the central coordinator of policies and procedures across departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and maintaining a current master library of policies. This role supports organizational readiness by coordinating compliance meetings, reviewing timelines, and ensuring timely completion of reports.
Key Responsibilities- Policy Development & Compliance
- Develop and maintain an indexed, up-to-date master library of current policies and archived versions.
- Track review cycles, coordinate updates, and enforce timely re-approvals.
- Ensure policies reflect current practices and are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and accrediting standards.
- Policy Inquiry Response & Gap Resolution
- Provide accurate responses and guidance to staff on existing policies and procedures.
- Identify gaps in documentation and draft new policies or procedures when necessary.
- Facilitate the full review and approval process for new documents, including collecting stakeholder input and obtaining final signatures.
- Regulatory Reporting Oversight
- Maintain a comprehensive calendar of required reports for licensing, funding, and accreditation entities.
- Coordinate submission of reports, track status, and ensure accuracy and completeness of report contents.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy management within a healthcare or behavioral health organization.
- Familiarity with Joint Commission, Arizona DHS, and applicable labor and healthcare regulations.
- Strong technical writing and document control skills.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across departments.
- Proficient with cloud-based document systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project tracking platforms.
