Job Overview

The Accounting Operations Specialist will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including financial statement preparation and regulatory compliance.

  • Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements is essential to this role.
  • Assisting in monthly closings is a key responsibility to ensure deadlines are met and records are maintained accurately.
  • Maintenance of accounting journals, ledgers, and logs is crucial for tracking financial transactions and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Filing tax requirements through electronic systems is necessary to comply with laws and regulations.
  • Compliance with government agency requirements, including those of BIR, SEC, and local governments, is vital to this role.
  • Audit of existing accounting procedures will be conducted to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Daily transaction monitoring will detect any discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Maintenance of subsidiary ledgers ensures accurate tracking of financial data.
  • Financial statement account reconciliation is necessary to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management will support the accounting team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounts receivables, and payables.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements accurately and on time.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Quickbooks.
  • Effective communication skills to deal with government agencies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of General Taxation and Labor Laws.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Honest and trustworthy, with strong moral principles.
  • Proficient in written and oral English communication.
