Seeking a Financial Operations Specialist

  • We require an experienced and skilled Financial Operations Specialist to manage our internal finance operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • This role involves overseeing daily financial activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • You will also be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, establishing and monitoring financial control systems, and managing vendor invoicing and cash flow.
  • A controller-level experience is advantageous in this role.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage day-to-day financial operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  2. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely closure of financial statements.
  3. Analyze and prepare financial reports, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  4. Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk management.
  5. Manage vendor relationships, collections, payroll, and cash flow monitoring.
  6. Develop and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast to support liquidity management.
  7. Create and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making.
  8. Provide scenario analysis and cash flow projections to senior management.
Tax & Compliance
  • Prepare and file U.S. corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Manage tax filings (corporate income tax, GST) with external advisors when necessary.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA preferred; ACCA/CA a plus).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or senior role in accounting, preferably in a Big 4 Accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS knowledge or willingness to learn is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and buy-side financial due diligence is a plus but not essential.
  • Controller-level experience is highly desirable.
