Role Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Manager to support our sales efforts and drive business growth.
About the Job:
- This role involves providing technical consultancy, product recommendations, and sales support to current and new customers.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in the adhesives or packaging industry, with a strong understanding of Advanced Packaging, Flexible Packaging, and Soft Packaging markets.
- You will be responsible for visiting key customers and distributors, conducting competitive analysis, and providing detailed technical reports of customer trials and laboratory testing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Support Regional Sales Managers with solution selling into current account bases and expanding New Business Developments (NBDs).
- Sales Support: Provide technical consultancy, product recommendations, and sales support to current and new customers.
- Technical Support: Visit key customers and distributors routinely to understand their requirements and provide timely technical support.
- Product and Application Training: Provide technical training to customers to improve their knowledge of our complete product range and improve their troubleshooting capabilities.
- Customer Complaint Handling: Work with customer service, sales, R&D, and QA teams to resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Reporting: Provide detailed technical reports of customer trials/visits and laboratory trials/testing.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Knowledge: Adept in understanding and analyzing Advanced Packaging, Flexible Packaging, Soft Packaging market and its competition.
- Skills/Abilities: Equipped with skills in presentation, negotiation, product application, testing, customer service, complaint analysis, conflict resolution, and technical reporting.
- Attitude: Self-motivated; able to work and contribute effectively to a team; positive work values and ethics; innovative and focused on continuous improvements.
- Experience:
- 4 years or more of technical sales related experience in adhesives or packaging industry preferred.
