Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Financial Director to join our team at VargasAndrews. As a key member, you will oversee financial operations, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management:
  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans aligned with company and client objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of teamwork and comradery.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored financial advice and solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, providing actionable insights for business improvement.
Financial Accounting:
  • Consolidate subsidiary profit and loss accounts to create results for the company and its affiliates.
  • Manage and drive output from the financial accounting functions to ensure key deadlines and timetables are met.
  • Assist the CFO in managing the annual audit process with external auditors.
  • Ensure timely presentation of accurate and meaningful financial information for decision-making (month and year-end).
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts across the company and its affiliates.
  • Preparation of finance SOPs, procedural documents, and system automation tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
HR & Recruitment:
  • Identify staffing needs and participate in recruitment efforts to build a skilled workforce.
  • Develop training programs to enhance team members' technical skills and professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to foster continuous improvement and career growth.
  • Conduct team member onboarding to ensure smooth integration into the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • At least 5-7 years of proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. This salary range reflects the level of expertise required for this role and the competitive market rate for similar positions in the industry.
