
Effective Communications and Change Management Specialist

The Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) is a critical component of IOM's institutional reform and modernization efforts. As GSSC continues to expand its role, delivering streamlined and efficient services to the Organization, effective communication and agile change management have become essential to ensuring successful transitions and long-term adoption.
Under the direct supervision of the Director, GSSC, the Communications and Change Management Officer will substantively contribute to the development, and ensure the implementation of, internal communication strategies and structured change management approaches that support staff engagement, stakeholder alignment, and a culture of transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. They will be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, think critically, and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
A key aspect of this role will be the development and implementation of communication strategies that promote transparency, accountability, and inclusivity throughout the Organization. This may involve working closely with senior leadership, program managers, and other stakeholders to identify key messaging, develop strategic communications plans, and coordinate the dissemination of information to various audiences.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Communications and Change Management Officer will also be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of internal operations. This may involve conducting research, analyzing data, and making recommendations to senior leadership on areas for improvement.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning. They will be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a larger team to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a larger team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
