Overview

We are seeking an experienced Change Manager with deep expertise in technology-driven change to support a bank's digital transformation program. This role focuses on managing the risks, impacts, and communications of technology change initiatives — particularly in core banking systems — rather than traditional organizational change.


The Role
  • Assess, track, and manage the impact and risk of IT changes related to digital and core banking transformation.
  • Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and readiness for technology-driven changes.
  • Develop and execute change impact assessments, communication strategies, and change plans tailored to technical rollouts.
  • Ensure transparency by providing consistent updates on progress, risks, and successes to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs, including hands-on sessions and workshops, to build user capability.
  • Prepare the business for go-live through readiness assessments, cutover communications, and coordinated transition activities.
  • Gather feedback post go-live through surveys, focus groups, and interviews to inform continuous improvement.
  • Partner with program managers and solution leads to embed change management activities within the project lifecycle.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies for high-impact changes affecting operational or customer-facing systems.
  • Oversee governance of technology change control processes and approval cycles.
  • Monitor and report on readiness, adoption trends, and risk outcomes to leadership and project sponsors.

The Expertise
  • 10+ years in change management, with at least 5 years in technology-driven change (preferably banking or financial services).
  • PROSCI certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in core banking modernization or large-scale digital transformation is preferred.
  • Proven ability to assess risk, analyze impacts, and communicate them effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in developing and executing communication strategies for large-scale technology initiatives.
  • Adept at ensuring transparency through consistent reporting on program progress, risks, and achievements.
  • Experienced in coordinating and delivering training programs, including workshops and hands-on sessions.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare business areas for go-live and manage smooth transitions, including readiness assessments and cutover planning.
  • Proficient in gathering and analyzing post-implementation feedback using surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
  • Familiarity with banking regulatory compliance and IT governance frameworks.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
