Key Travel Industry Role

MICE refers to Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events. It is an acronym used in the travel management industry.

This position plays a crucial role in driving business growth and development through effective event planning and execution.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement event strategies to meet business objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and partners
  • Manage event budgets, timelines and logistics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in the travel industry
  • Working knowledge of flight reservation systems, hotel reservations and online booking tools
  • A wide network of contacts in the travel industry, including competitor agencies, travel suppliers and service providers
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication such as speaking, listening, writing and understanding body language
  • People management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • A strong work ethic, dedication to hard work, responsibility and integrity in the workplace
