The Finance and Medical Records Assistant role is a remote opportunity that plays a crucial part in the finance team. The key responsibilities include receiving, validating, and fulfilling medical records requests from various entities. Ensuring compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 is vital.
The ideal candidate will possess strong written communication skills, accuracy with document handling, and proficiency with EHR or document management systems. Experience in healthcare settings and knowledge of HIPAA requirements are essential.
This is a 100% remote position that requires strong time management skills and attention to detail. The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively is necessary.
Responsibilities:- Release of Information (ROI) & Records Fulfillment
- Intake & Triage: Receive and log all incoming records requests
- Authorization Validation: Verify identity/authority of requestor
- Clinical & Provider Clearance: Route the request and proposed record set to the treating clinician for review
- Record Preparation: Retrieve designated record sets from the EHR/document repository
This is a 100% Remote work opportunity with a competitive hourly rate.
