About the Role

This pivotal position oversees and manages central ordering processes within a dynamic Fit-Out Services department. Ensuring efficient and timely procurement of materials and services for various projects is key to success in this role.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to execute all ordering activities effectively and align them with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a strong customer service ethos within the central ordering team by demonstrating excellence in personal customer service and mentoring team members to deliver a customer-focused experience.
  • Lead the central ordering team in purchasing materials and services, ensuring accurate and timely orders adhere to budget constraints and project timelines.
  • Track supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure seamless ordering processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking and optimize storage space.
  • Continuously assess and improve ordering processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs by implementing new technologies and systems as necessary.
  • Work closely with centre delivery managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure ordering activities support project goals.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on ordering activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably within the construction or fit-out industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
