Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of multiple businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations for all accounts, providing clients with detailed reports of uncleared receipts, payments, and any unidentified transactions or errors.
- Invoice Management & Billing: Ensure invoices are issued on time, meeting billing deadlines consistently. Review all invoices to ensure they are correctly attached to the appropriate projects and that no discrepancies exist.
- Daily Transaction Recording: Accurately record all daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver key financial statements, including income and payment statements, and profit and loss accounts, ensuring accuracy in all reporting.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Process and approve AP invoices in a timely manner, keeping track of vendor payments. Maintain AR records, ensuring client payments are recorded accurately and on time.
- Tax Compliance & Reporting: Fill out relevant tax forms and liaise with accountants to ensure compliance with UK tax regulations.
- Month-End Close: Complete month-end closing procedures by reconciling all accounts and ensuring financial records are up to date.
- Client Communication: Maintain timely and professional communications with clients on financial matters.
- Software & Systems Management: Use Xero and Dext for processing transactions and managing invoices.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with experience managing finances for multiple businesses or clients.
- Familiarity with UK accounting practices and tax regulations is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Xero and Dext accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
